Before I began graduate school, I was employed at Great Oaks Charter School as part of an Urban Education Fellowship. Much of this job was centered around teaching and tutoring; I tutored two groups of sixth and seventh graders for multiple hours a day, co-taught an enrichment course called Literary Magazine, and provided after school tutoring for struggling students. In addition to this experience, I have served as an SAT tutor for the nonprofit organization, Let's Get Ready, and I've tutored 5th grade students in ELA and math at Beginning With Children Charter School through Kaplan. I scored 170 on the verbal portion of the GRE and 2110 on the SAT.
