Experience

I am a graduate of Columbia University, where I earned my Biology degree. I work at the medical center in NYU in the biochemistry lab, although my goal is to one day become a surgeon in the pediatric field. I still need to attend medical school before that can happen.I previously worked as an assistant for a teacher in the Biology department at Columbia. I am fluent in Mandarin and helped teach ESL to Chinese immigrant students. I also tutored them and other students in subjects like Math, Test Prep, and Science. Science is one of the main subjects I enjoy tutoring because it usually only takes a few points to make people understand what they're missing. I believe it is best to provide proper motivation to make students excel. I try my hardest to incorporate real world examples and common interests of my students into the material we're studying. In my spare time, I attempt to recreate many of the popular dishes New York has to offer. I frequently visit culinary establishments in hopes of finding a new recipe to try. I also enjoy learning languages. I have learned Mandarin Chinese and want to become fluent in more.
