I am a tutor with extensive experience studying and teaching English. Most of my experience as a tutor stems from teaching English as a Second Language. I initially began working at Catholic Charities as a volunteer, but I was eventually hired as a teacher. I was responsible for teaching two courses, including Advanced Writing and Reading and Advanced Grammar. I am comfortable tutoring students in American Literature, British Literature, Public Speaking, Journalism, Persuasive Writing, and Reading.I am particularly suited to tutoring because of my organization, creativity, patience, and the ability to motivate my students. I have an extremely positive attitude, and my enthusiasm for learning tends to be infectious. I also have experience developing lesson plans and keeping track of students' progress. My philosophy as a tutor is to adapt the curriculum to each individual student's needs. I am extremely passionate about teaching. It is very rewarding and fulfilling for me, and I love sharing my passion for writing with my students. I am dedicated to making sure that my students continuously improve, and my enthusiasm for teaching plays a major role in ensuring that my students succeed. In my free time, I enjoy reading, doing yoga, hiking, and biking.
