Experience

I am located in New York, NY, and I am attending Columbia's Mailman School of Public Health. At the moment, I am focusing my studies towards completing a master's degree in environmental health sciences. I received my bachelor's in biology and anthropology from Fordham University. Having been in the same shoes as students coming into similar courses or programs, I can empathize with the difficulty of science and math classes when mixed with other required studies.I favor tutoring chemistry, biology, physics, and a wide-range of math levels. I can also help with test preparations: ACT, PSAT, and SAT. I also have a large amount of academic writing experience and will work with students who need assistance with a variety of related assignments. Many of these subjects can cause stress and confusion, but I can ease these reactions. I prefer a low-pressure tutoring method. I proceed through the subjects at a comfortable pace for the student's abilities so that there is full comprehension of the subject. When I am not studying or tutoring, I like to experiment with recipes, do yoga, sew, and write. I also like to run and play basketball or soccer.
