Exams are stressful for everyone. However, for students who are struggling with a topic, exams can be downright horrifying. As a Math tutor, I know how stressed my students can get, so I try to take very specific steps in order to reduce their anxiety and foster feelings of confidence.Whereas some tutors like to present students with a range of formulas encouraging analysis, I prefer to make sure my students know the data and information behind the formulas. That way, when my students run up against a difficult question or problem that does not readily indicate which formula fits best, they are able to handle it. In the five years that I have been using this method, I have seen it work countless times. I can work with students of all ages on Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and many standardized tests which utilize Math, such as the ACT and the SAT. I can also help students with Chemistry, Earth Science, Astronomy, and Italian.My personal interests include the arts, drama, jewelry-making and metalsmithing, filmmaking, and playing video games.
