Experience

I'm a theatre director who is in love with the Arts. I play the cello and routinely attend cultural events of all kinds. I love to watch contemporary dance and traditional opera, and everything in between. My work experience provides insight into educational challenges that students encounter. I am a critical observer, able to pick out nuances in a student's performance or working style, seeing where they are struggling and allowing me to focus on these particular areas during our tutoring sessions. While I was enrolled at Vassar, I studied Theatre and Art History and developed a strong work ethic. I also learned to pay attention to detail, which I believe is an important element in teaching, studying and education. I tutor students in the areas of test prep and math, but I especially enjoy assisting students with their writing and critical reading assignments, especially if they desire to delve deeper into more critical textural analysis. Tutoring is a wonderful opportunity for spurring academic mastery and confidence. When I am not tutoring, I enjoy playing tennis, hiking, visiting museums, and listening to music.
