The University of Texas at Austin - BBA, Business Honors

I  hold a bachelor's in Business Administration, and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from The University of Texas at Austin, where I was in the Business Honors Program. After graduation, I was hired as a technology consultant. I resigned from that position to embark on a road trip throughout the United States. My tutoring experience includes tutoring students at the secondary and college levels. I've tutored in a number of areas, including accounting, algebra, social studies, and critical reading. I especially enjoy helping students with test prep for SAT and GRE exams. I truly believe that students can always do better in a subject than they at first believe they can. Math is one of the subjects that I believe is critical to not only academic success, but to life as well. It is everywhere in the real world, and so it is important to learn it well during school. Helping students prepare to take GRE exams is a specialty of mine. I like to push my students to aim higher and look beyond mere test scores. What is the purpose of learning the subject they are learning? I want them to connect their lessons to daily life. When I am not tutoring, I enjoy taking long walks outdoors.
