Catherine B.
Private tutor in New York, NY
Education
I am a graduate student in the Neurobiology and Behavior PhD program at Columbia. Before that, I graduated high-school from Convent of the Sacred Heart, here in NYC, to continue on to study Biology and Psychology at Mount Holyoke College. There, I graduated with high honors in Biology and Genetics.
Experience
I scored a 2130 out of 2400 on the SAT, a 710 on the Biology SAT Subject Test, a 660 on the English Literature SAT Subject Test, and a 700 on the US History Subject Test. I received a 5 on the AP Biology Exam. My strengths are Biology and English. Since high-school I have tutored students in Math, Biology, and English. I also have experience preparing students to take the SHSAT. I took Spanish for 7 years (from high-school through college), and although my proficiency is not as wonderful as it once was, I would be able to tutor through intermediate level.
