I've always enjoyed math, so it was only natural that I decided to major in the subject. I was lucky enough to attend Colgate University where I mastered pre-calculus, algebra, AP calculus, trigonometry, SAT math, and other math subjects. I'm also something of a history buff, so it should be no surprise that I also thrived in subjects such as American history, European history, and AP United States history. Once I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics, I was able to join the staff of a well-known Manhattan-based company. I gained tutoring experience at the Family and Children's Services of Nantucket. I enjoy working with everyone from children who are in middle school to adults who need to polish up their math skills. One of my teaching methods involves breaking down math concepts into bite-size pieces so that they're easier for my students to understand. It pleases me to help learners move past their preconceived notions about math and realize that they can indeed learn the subject for either their educational or professional endeavors. In addition to solving math problems, I love to play golf and watch or play sports. One of my favorite teams is the Oregon Ducks.
