Experience

Three years of classroom teaching experience as an information literacy instructor (study skills) in all disciplines, including English Lit, Composition, History, Political Science, Advanced Biology, Psychology, Marketing and Management. GRE Verbal Score (December 2012) = 96th percentile. I've won prestigious prizes for my writing and am an experienced mentor for those pupils wishing to improve their expository writing skills. I pride myself on being able to offer students on all levels a learning experience that leaves them with something they didn't have before. My previous experience has been mostly college prep and university students, but I have worked with children of all ages as a public librarian. I am very interested in tutoring K-8 pupils in Language Arts (grammar and vocabulary) and Social Studies, as well as French and German. For college students wishing to acquire better research skills, I offer one-on-one sessions in the public library, using publicly available databases for Health Sciences, History, Literature, Business and Education.
