Experience
I graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a degree in the Teaching of French. After graduation, I worked as a French teacher for Chicago Public Schools for three years. After resigning from teaching, I relocated to France for a year and obtained my master's degree through the New York University in Paris. I was inspired by this to continue on with my education and I am presently enrolled as a PhD candidate at Northwestern. My thesis focuses on a 1930's French film. I have taught students in a variety of settings ranging from university students teaching basic and intermediate French to pre-K children and adult learners. I love to teach all levels of French. I continually travel to France so that I can keep in touch with the language and culture. I love learning, and always will have that as an important part of my life, as well as teaching. I know that success is related to education and I want to help students meet their academic goals. In my spare time, I enjoy watching old films, reading novels in English and French, cooking, and traveling.
