Experience
A native Spanish speaker who has mastered several languages, I bring a variety of teaching methods that are useful to students seeking a second language proficiency. I began the process of learning English after my graduation from college in Mexico City. I started with Basic English and worked through all the courses, including training for the TOEFL. After my English studies, I received a scholarship and began my studies in Italian through Instituto Italiano di Cultura in Mexico City. The methods that I use with my students who are learning Spanish, English, and Translation have been proven to be effective. I have also studied German and French, which included taking courses at Deutsches Haus and Alliance Francaise at New York University. I earned a master's degree at Brooklyn College, CUNY in Music. I have found that the process of learning music is incredibly useful in learning languages, as well. In my tutoring sessions, I apply several of the learning techniques that musicians practice. I am interested in tutoring students in Art, English, ESL, ELL, IB Music, Music Theory, Italian, and Spanish. During my free time, I enjoy performing and singing.
