I am a tutor from New York, NY. I have tutoring experience in various math subjects, including elementary and middle school math, geometry, pre-calculus, calculus 1, algebra 1 and 2, and trigonometry. I also specialize in helping students prepare for different standardized test, such as the Regents, SAT math and critical reading, and ACT math. I have a great passion for both mathematics and music. My tutoring experience includes working for a company that provided private tutoring for students who were preparing to take the SAT and ACT tests. As a tutor, I want to ensure that a student has the right foundation in a particular content area, so that he has the necessary tools to confidently succeed in the given subject. I earned two undergraduate degrees from the University of Rochester/Eastman School of Music, a BA in math and a Bachelor of Music with a concentration in music education and bassoon performance. I also did graduate work at Yale University and earned a master's degree in music in the area of bassoon performance. In my leisure time, I like to read, perform as a member of a bassoon quartet, and visit various archaeological locations.
