I am from Maspeth, New York. While attending school for my master's degree, I have taught in the NYC public school system. Presently, I teach first grade. Additionally, I am a private tutor who has expertise in a variety of subjects, but I especially enjoy tutoring reading, grammar and mechanics, writing, English, literature, and phonics. I typically give private tutoring to students living in Queens, New York. My personal philosophy on education is that because students can have a variety of different learning styles, differentiated instruction is necessary so that all students can learn according to their own individual needs. As a tutor, I want to motivate my students so that they can realize their true potential, and I also welcome the chance to help them become better learners. I received my undergraduate degree in elementary education from Molloy College. I went on to do my graduate studies in literacy and mental health counseling at St. John's University in New York. I earned my Master of Science degree from this school in this education specialty. In my free time away from teaching and tutoring, I especially like to travel, go for leisurely walks, read, and shop.
