Experience
I love tutoring and have tutored for five years. It became a passion in high school when I was a tutor with Big Brothers Big Sisters. I was a volunteer tutor with DC Reads and a private tutor in Washington DC throughout college. I enjoy helping students with literature and reading comprehension the most. I also tutor Math, History, Grammar, Essay Editing, Social Studies, and Science. I've worked with students of all ages and in test prep extensively (ACT, SAT, and others). I help students with test anxiety, study skills, essay revision, college admissions, and public speaking. My teaching philosophy is to create a supportive environment and a relationship with each student. I know every student can accomplish whatever they choose to in life. I focus on meeting a student where they are so that their learning style is encouraged. I'm currently a law student at Temple University Beasley School of Law. I have a degree in International Relations from American University. Outside of academia I like to spend time with my family and my kitten Abby, watch my favorite show (Parks and Recreation), and I perform with the Philadelphia Singers.
