When I tutor and in my own life, I believe putting topics/ideas into the right context makes information much easier to process and remember. I have learned this by working in various study group environments. The concept applies to things from biology to U.S. history and it is best for fully understanding a concept one is first learning. I tutor different types of math (elementary, middle school, statistics, trigonometry, and calculus) and also reading, writing, social studies, English, and MCAT and graduate test prep.Recently, I completed my studies at Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. My major was in biology and my concentration was in Molecular and Cell Biology. I currently work in the medical research field in New York City. My plan is to soon apply to medical programs in the area.As a tutor I know school and life can be stressful. I do lots of physical activity in my down time. Sometimes I work out at the gym and other times I unwind by playing soccer or ice hockey. Being physically active helps balance all of my academic challenges and find a productive escape when it's needed.
