Experience
I graduated from Ohio State University, where I earned my B.A. in Spanish with a minor in both Latin American Lit and Iberian Studies. I am in the process of completing a Master of Science in Narrative Medicine at Columbia. Even though most of my credentials are associated with medical humanities, I am currently in the process of sending out applications to medical schools. I have completed all the required courses needed for medical school as well as successfully taken the required exams and tests. I love both the humanity aspect of the medical world as well as the science aspect. My tutoring method is largely based on the needs of the individual student. I want my students to connect and reflect on what they have been taught. While lecture style teaching may work for one student, it may not work well for another. I have personally lectured at the University of Connecticut and at Columbia for various courses. When I am not teaching, I love working out, particularly weightlifting. I also love reading a variety of materials and watching sci-fi television shows. However, my passion is, and will remain, teaching and learning.
