To say that I am enthusiastic about education would be an understatement. I am not only passionate about learning for myself but I believe part of my calling involves teaching others. I have received two master's degrees from the University of Toledo. The first is in early childhood and elementary education and the second is in higher education. I also received a Specialist degree from UT in Curriculum and Instruction.I teach and tutor people of all ages in subjects such as reading, writing, phonics, grammar and mechanics, writing and editing essays, public speaking, and English. I am a believer in Howard Gardner's Theory on Multiple Intelligences which simply means that I believe everyone has their own way of learning. Because of this my tutoring style is very adaptive. I find what helps each student best learn the material and use tools and strategies that will best facilitate their learning. I believe a fun and engaging learning environment are essential to the success of all students and I endeavor to fully engage each student on their level.When I'm not teaching or continuing my own education I enjoy writing books, watching sports, traveling, reading, visiting amusement parks, cooking, and dancing.
