As a teacher, my philosophy is to lead by example. I am a natural leader so it's important I help people develop the capabilities to assess, create, and express ideas. The subjects I tutor include sixth to twelfth grade reading, seventh to twelfth grade math, writing, English, social sciences, ESL/ELL, and college essays. Regardless of the subject, my objective is to encourage my students to be imaginative and innovative while adapting to their environment. I can therefore accept various means of communication to help someone with their professional, academic, and personal progress. Communication is needed to build trust and be open, but also create strategies to help a student achieve their greatest potential.My belief is anyone can succeed if they have the right amount of guidance and support. I'm a devoted teacher and lead the way. I constantly analyze my own abilities as a teacher, mentor, and counselor. My vision is guided by empowerment at the professional/academic and personal level so the goals are realistic. I attended Audrey Cohen College and Mercy College. Living in New York City, I enjoy hobbies such as traveling, live theatre, sailing and boating, event planning, dancing, and volunteering when not educating.
