Dartmouth College - BA, Psychology , Rutgers University - MS, Statistics
An accomplished, multi degreed student in my own right, I believe I have the qualifications to help others achieve academic success no matter their personal learning style. Upon graduation from Dartmouth College where I studied Psychology, I was inspired to pursue the field of mathematics. I received my master's degree at Rutgers University where I studied statistics and I am presently pursuing a math and computer science degree at Columbia University. Some may believe that they only need to master a recitation of facts, however, it is an understanding and mastery of the material that will impart lifelong learning which is truly the goal.My focus has been on statistics but I am well versed in math including algebra, calculus, and preparation for standardized exams (ACT/GRE). I believe that when students are able to appreciate the subject they are studying it is easier to gain a deeper understanding of the concepts and principles which leads to ready success. I myself love learning and I feel my teaching style inspires the same from my students.I do make time for other activities when not studying. Baseball is a real love of mine. Indeed, it inspired my pursuit of statistics. I also like to run, cook, and spend time with loved ones.
