I attended Notre Dame University where I acquired my bachelor's degree in film, television, and theater. I was also a part of Notre Dame's family honors program because of my superior grades and accomplishments. Because I have always had a passion for college admissions and the process that goes into it, I spent a lot of my time working as a campus guide on Notre Dame's campus. Because of my love for the admissions process, I am also dedicated to helping students prepare for their SAT examinations. I am very skilled in drama and theater. I put these skills to good use when I tutor students in literature, writing, and reading. I have experience teaching theater workshops and have worked with students of all different ages. As for my tutoring style, I believe in asking questions. Asking my students questions allows me to determine what their strengths and weaknesses are. I also am quite encouraging. I want my students to do the best they can. I am a gentle teacher. I believe in gently guiding students in the right direction. I do not lecture students, and I do not want them to simply memorize information. Not only are these boring teaching methods, but they also are ineffective. When I am not tutoring, I can be found practicing yoga or playing a board game.
