Experience
While attending Rollins College, I trained to be a general chemistry tutor. I helped students in two undergraduate courses and earned my Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Mathematics. Also, I worked at a Winter Park, Florida tutoring center during this time. I have helped elementary school kids and students at the undergraduate level. Chemistry is my academic/ professional specialty, but I tutor math, economics, social studies, history, and ACT, SAT, and GRE test prep. I enjoy learning about a lot of subjects which feeds my passion to teach and be an effective tutor. Able to approach any concept or question from a variety of angles, I help my students retain information and see what they're learning from a broader perspective.I try to feed off my students' interests and help them see their own potential when I tutor. I'm a lifelong learner myself, always making new connections and trying to understand material on a deeper level. In addition, I also attended Hunter College. My interests go beyond academics. I like to pursue scientific research whenever I get the chance to. In my spare time, I also like reading fiction and nonfiction, hiking, kayaking, and enjoying a number of other activities outdoors.
