As an advocate for Math, I enjoy the challenge of turning a student, who generally does not care for Math, into an advocate for Math who has a great deal of adoration for the subject. I've found that many students struggle with Math concepts because they haven't had someone describe the methodology of Math to them in a way with which they can connect. As I'm completing my third year at Wagner College, I'm an ideal tutor in Math since I've taken my love of the subject and my love of helping students to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Math, and a Secondary Education minor. My experience working with students includes my work as a teacher with Generation Citizen. Generation Citizen creates a learning environment around awareness of civic responsibilities by pairing a teacher with eighth-grade students. I also work with the Staten Island Technical High School girl's basketball team as an assistant coach. My tutoring specialty is in all areas of Math, including Elementary, Middle School, and High School Math, and SAT Test Prep.When I'm not helping students in the classroom or on the court, I like to spend time helping others by volunteering at community charities and events. I also enjoy spending time on exercise at the local gym.
