In May of 2016, I will be graduating with B.S. degrees in Dance and Biology, with an emphasis on Pre-Med from Columbia University in New York, NY. Since I've been attending college, some of my time has been spent conducting research on the fruit fly. I have also spent my time volunteering and being the resident advisor for the freshman dorms here at Columbia University. In addition to my volunteering, I have worked with students in the Young Artists Summer Program provided by Choate Rosemary Hall. Even though I enjoy helping others with different subjects, I really enjoy tutoring on subjects that are focused around Biology. Since I plan on attending medical school, I really enjoy sharing my knowledge in Biology, Anatomy, and Physiology and helping students study for the MCAT, since I have a good understanding of how taxing the experience can be. I understand that in tutoring, there are many ways to teach a student, and it's important to figure out the best way a student learns. This is why I create a learning plan for each student to aid in their success. Tests like the MCAT can be very stressful, and I show students ways to remain calm and relaxed. In addition to tutoring, I also enjoy dancing, skiing, and reading.
