Experience
I am an accomplished tutor with a degree in anthropology, and a minor in women's studies, from an esteemed university. I have worked for many years with students of all ages, from first to twelfth grade and do not actually have a favorite but find each experience rewarding. Although I have delivered instruction in all subject areas I have found teaching students to speak English is a specialty of mine. I have an expertise in all aspects of teaching English to students including how to expand their vocabulary, use proper grammar when transitioning from their native language to English, writing and speaking the language, and introducing them to basic English literature.I make it a point to try to get to know each student on a more personal level. When students are comfortable with their teachers and tutors, there is improved academic performance. Therefore I try to learn what subject areas the students excel in and areas where they may need more support. As well, I want to know more about their extracurricular activities and interests so I have a more well-rounded picture of the individual.For myself, my interests run from reading to music, dance to yoga, and more.
