Experience

Nothing makes me happier when tutoring than seeing a student build a confidence and love for a subject. For me, it is important to help them overcome any obstacles that may be holding them back and allow the student to discover how learning can actually be enjoyable. Science is one of my favorite areas to tutor; I would love to share my own knowledge in biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, earth science, environmental science, geology, and inorganic chemistry. Math is also another area I enjoy. I can help students with elementary math, middle school math, algebra 1-4, pre-calculus, and trigonometry. However, I am not limited to these two fields. I am available to provide assistance with SAT, MCAT, and test preparation. My teaching experience comes from the six years I was involved with Teach for America. I was fortunate enough to teach science to middle school students in Bronx, New York. I received my Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources from Cornell University. I am currently attending Rutgers University's post-baccalaureate program for health sciences with hopes of continuing on to medical school. Outside of my own educational pursuits, I love biking, running, swimming, and baking.
