Experience
I attended NYU, where I earned a degree in education specific to secondary mathematics. I began tutoring in 2008. I have worked with a variety of populations, such as high school and junior high students as well as children studying English as a second language in Shanghai. I am highly capable of tutoring courses from math for middle school students all the way through Calculus. My favorite courses to work with are Geometry and Algebra because they are highly strategy based and epitomize the importance of detail and creativity that has inspired my love of math. In my tutoring practice, I strive to make material engaging as well as fun. My focus is not simply to assist your grasp of the material. I also strive to help students improve their creative thinking. The mind needs to be exercised, like any other muscle, and I would love to work with you on that while we have some fun. It is my goal to help you find the enjoyable aspects of math. In my free time, I enjoy biking and yoga. I also write limericks, read, and sometimes rewatch Breaking Bad. I currently reside in New York, New York.
