My education majored around all aspects of theatre plays and movies. I specialized in character study and how a plot develops from the philosophical and psychological elements of actors. I have worked in New York theatre and television shows. I also worked abroad in Europe and Africa. I had trouble writing when I was young and could not express my ideas clearly in a written form. I worked hard to overcome this problem and became so proficient at writing that I achieved near perfection on the ACT writing section. I feel well qualified to tutor students on writing because I had to work so hard to improve my own writing ability. I patiently show my students the methods I once used so they can increase their own writing skills. I also teach art courses in a museum for film. I teach by asking questions and getting student interaction rather than simple lectures. I like to tell jokes and make the sessions fun. I have found that using humor makes a lasting impression on the knowledge students hear and they retain the information better. Tutoring and teaching using a positive approach creates the best environment for learning. I know I have the experience to aid any student to become a better writer.
