I am a long time teacher in New York private schools, so I understand the competing demands that tug on today's students and stretch their schedule thin. Along with my tutees, I create tailor-made lessons. The focus is on personal strength and the areas the student can improve in. My goal is always to fully capitalize on the valuable time we spend together.Subjects I cover include reading, writing, grammar, college essays, German, history, public speaking, social studies, and test prep for exams like the SAT, ISEE, HSPT, and SSAT.In 2013, I graduated from Grinnell College. I'm now a teacher in Washington D.C. For many years, I lived in a German speaking region of Europe and majored in the language, history, and culture. My spare time is filled with reading historical fiction, gentleman's farming, alpine hiking, midnight movies, and the strategy game Settlers of Catan.
