Since I graduated from Columbia University, I have enjoyed working with kids. I have found a balance between academics and the arts through a mix of auditioning and performing and being a nanny and tutor. I love to look at standardized tests in a positive light. They were a always a way for me to have a quantifiable measurement of my progress, not only as a measure of skill, but also as a measurement of my time management skills. It also helped me learn to remain calm while taking tests. I believe that these are important skills to pass on to others.In my career as a tutor, I have worked with kids ranging in age from 3-17. My greatest strength is helping students to prepare for the ACT, ISEE, PSAT, SAT, and SSAT. However, I am available to assist in a variety of subjects including Writing, Literature, AP-level English courses, and even helping students compose and edit their college admission essays. I know that with hard work, I can instill in my students the proper skills and tools needed to succeed in the academic world.My hobbies include the theater, football, cooking, graphic design, hiking, and traveling around the world.
