Reading and Writing are my passions, and I love helping students discover and master their intricacies. To me, there is no better way to improve the logical sensibilities underlying academia as a whole. The time and effort a student invests in Reading and Writing will pay off in every other subject he or she approaches.I can see the benefits in every subject I tutor. Math, Statistics, Biology, Psychology, Social Science, Public Speaking, AP courses, and the SAT - all rely in some way on good reading and writing skills. When I tutor any of these subjects, I encourage my students to approach them in an interdisciplinary way. I find this helps learners by building bridges between skill sets and strengthening both new and previously-acquired skills. This is a principle I found useful while pursuing my bachelor's degree at Rutgers University and which I still find useful as I pursue my master's degree at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health.Reading and writing even work their way into my list of hobbies, though they are by no means my only extracurricular interests. I also enjoy exploring museums, biking, and - believe it or not - the flying trapeze!
