At the age of 19, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Science Foundations from Bard College at Simon's Rock. Upon graduation, I was accepted by the New York City Teaching Fellows, where I obtained my master's in Education. During that time, I focused on students with disabilities and mathematics education. A large part of my tutoring experience has been in math and special education. I frequently work with students on math concepts from Elementary Math and Pre-Algebra to Geometry, Statistics, and Trigonometry. I am also able to assist students with preparation for the Regents, the GRE, and the SAT. I like to tutor students one-on-one as I find it easier to make a real connection. When meeting with a new student, I strive to identify that student's unique strengths so I can use that as a foundation from which we can begin. Since some students find Math intimidating, I try my best to share my love of the subject and make it as accessible as possible. I want to help students find math as exciting, intriguing, and relevant as it has always been for me. When I'm not tutoring, I enjoy cooking, reading, and kayaking on the rivers of New York City.
