Experience

I went to Tufts University to earn my bachelor's degrees in history and Spanish. I graduated cum laude. Since then I taught ESL in Spain, and I'm back at Rutgers earning a master's degree in Library and information science. I have plenty of experience as a tutor, and I've helped people learn primarily history, chemistry, and geometry. When I was in Spain, I also tutored English to students who either were struggling with it or who are looking for an extra edge. When I work with students I'm determined to help them succeed, and I would encourage them to keep trying and not give up. I like to help students develop an interest in the topic we study so that they want to learn it, which is a big component of learning something successfully. I think my greatest asset is my ability to provide different ways of looking at things to help students better understand them. I particularly enjoy tutoring because I get to learn things from the experience as well. When I have some free time, I enjoy playing tennis, reading, and watching movies.
