I attended New York University - Tisch to earn a degree in drama. I've always enjoyed education because my mother teaches fifth grade, and she allowed me to provide a second opinion as a grader of essays. As a high school student I tutored French, English, and math. It's rewarding to help students learn new things. Besides my academic interests, I can also help students develop test taking skills and prepare for standardized exams. I was able to perform well on these tests myself, which allowed me to gain admission to my dream school. Testing is really about developing logic and reasoning skills and having strategies to work efficiently through an exam. I enjoy tutoring because I can focus on the needs of one individual student and work with them directly to overcome learning obstacles and reach their goals. When I have free time, I act and audition for roles, visit museums, go to the park, do yoga, take dance classes, and watch plays and movies.
