Experience
One of the things that helped me to succeed as a young student struggling with Math was the fact that I was tutored extensively. I am so thankful for the help I received that I feel it is necessary to give back by serving as a tutor myself. Through tutoring, I am able to give my students the tools they need to succeed, and help them to reach the same levels I have reached only because of the tutoring I received. In fact, after I was tutored, I became the 8th grade California Mathematics League Champion by obtaining a perfect score. I hold a bachelor's degree in Economics with a minor in Math from the University of Pennsylvania. In terms of teaching experience, I spent much of my time at the University of Pennsylvania serving as a peer tutor, teaching a wide variety of skills to struggling high school and middle school students. My specialties include Algebra, Arithmetic, Calculus, Elementary Math, Geometry, Middle School Math, Pre-Calculus, Statistics, and Trigonometry. Another one of my strengths is helping my students study for SAT Math. I give students the skills and techniques they need to ace these standardized tests.
