My name is Max, and after completing my degree at Northwestern University, studying Psychology and Italian Literature, I have dedicated my time to helping students master foreign languages. I have always had a fascination with foreign languages and the ability for those who have mastered multiple languages to think outside the box and view the world in a different way. Much of my teaching experience has been with teaching French as well as Italian. The next language which I have interest in learning is Russian, as I have an interest in Russian literature, considering many books I enjoy were written by Russian authors.Aside from tutoring students in foreign languages, I quite enjoy helping young people prepare for standardized testing such as the ACT and the SAT. My favorite part of this is watching a young mind begin to grasp the tips and tricks necessary to perform well on these tests. I want students not to just be able to read something when taking these tests, but to be able to break down and analyze the text in order to fully comprehend the meaning. Subjects which I specialize in include writing, English, French, Italian, Spanish, European History, SAT and ACT preparation, reading comprehension, PSAT prep, and Social Studies.
