Experience
I'm presently enrolled in med school. I worked at Mt. Sinai Hospital as a research scientist, focusing on Biochemistry and Pediatric Immunology. I attended Skidmore College, where I graduated in 2012, receiving my degree in Genetics and Molecular Biology. While in undergrad, I was an athlete in addition to my studies in pre-med, and I held multiple positions on the varsity ice hockey team. I've been working as a tutor for upwards of four years. While enrolled, I worked as a TA, and I tutored students from a high school in the area. I also collaborated with my teammates to volunteer and serve our community in a variety of ways. As a result of my work tutoring, my research, and my leadership in athletics, I've learned how to develop meaningful connections with others. In my teaching, I attempt to transmit my enthusiasm for the sciences to my students. I'm able to tutor a variety of subjects, including Physics, Microbiology, Physiology, Chemistry, English, and others. I can work with students on writing and essays, and to prepare for the MCAT (Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Social and Behavioral Sciences, Verbal Reasoning). I hope to continue to tutor locally while I conduct research and complete coursework in med school. In my free time, I enjoy hockey, snowboarding, and gaming.
