EducationWashington University in St. Louis - BA, History
ExperienceI went to Washington University for my bachelor's degree in history, graduating magna cum laude. I also had courses in psychology and American culture studies. I have seven years of experience as a tutor, working with various different organizations to help students learn. I can tutor students in a wide variety of subjects, and my specialties are social studies, foundational math topics, writing, and reading comprehension. When I work with students, I utilize my sense of humor to break the ice and to build rapport. I'm adept at identifying where students have gaps in their learning, and I know how to help them fill those gaps effectively. I generally do not give answers way to the students I work with. Instead, I guide them down the path of problem-solving so that they develop their own skills. I'm looking forward to helping students in a wide variety of topics as well as test preparation for the ACT and other standardized exams. In my free time, I enjoy tennis, running, creative writing, Spanish culture, travel, pop-culture, and more. I'm looking forward to law school in the future.
