Private tutor in New York, NY
SUNY at Buffalo - Physics BS and Minor in math, Physics
As a tutor, I was want my students to develop the ability to become self-sufficient learners. I am in essence trying to work myself out of a job! I work alongside the student when solving problems, and I try to give as little help as I can to guide a student in the right direction. I tell students that with determination and patience they can solve any problem. If a student is missing something they need to be able to know how to solve the problem, I will cover that with them before we move up. As a high school student, I struggled with math and physics topics myself, so I can provide students with techniques that I used to work through my learning obstacles. I've been tutoring for six years, and this method is very effective. I am looking forward to tutoring students in algebra, calculus one through three, differential equations, elementary math topics, geometry, middle school math topics, multivariable calculus, differential equations, pre-calculus, statistics, trigonometry, and physics. In addition I can tutor students in Russian and Hebrew. In my free time, I enjoy practicing martial arts, chess, soccer, and snowboarding.
