ExperienceAfter earning my undergraduate degree from Hamilton College, I began working towards a Master of Elementary Inclusive Education at Columbia University's Teachers College. My career goal is to work on the administrative end of education in a managerial position such as superintendent. I want to eventually have the ability to affect educational policy. My tutoring experience began while I was still completing my undergraduate degree. I was the coordinator of an elementary school reading program which met weekly. I also spent some time tutoring my peers at the school's writing center. My goal as a tutor was to work with clients to raise the quality of their writing while strengthening their organizational and grammatical skills. As professional tutor, I experiment with various methods to find the best method to improve the critical thinking skills of my students. My goal as an educator is to get pupils engaged in and committed to the discipline and its concepts. I like to show them how the discipline relates to events and practices in real life. My teaching technique is adaptable to each pupil. My aim is to make sure each pupil gets his or her greatest learning experience. When I have free time, I love swimming, skiing, Scrabble, reading, and baking.
