Experience

In 2011, I stepped out of Princeton University as a graduate. During my time there, I found that I had an affinity for English and that I enjoyed tutoring students. With this knowledge in hand, I went on to work in the publishing world and to tutor students, with SAT being the subject I enjoyed teaching the most. This subject is easy to measure and I can see the progress my students are making easily. When you are teaching other subjects, I feel that as a tutor, you need to figure out your own special way of measuring how they improve; by doing this you are sure to keep their motivation high.Whether it is first-grade students or seniors in high school, the ones that are successful the most are those who see that they are reaching their goals and not just plodding along. When a student is happy with what they have done it makes them strive harder to reach the top of the ladder. In my humble opinion, there is nothing better than watching a student conquer something they once thought was an impossible dream. During my downtime, I enjoy watching shows like Downton Abbey, Mad Men, and Glee.  I read a lot of Gawker blogs as well and enjoy dancing.
