I am currently attending Columbia University's Mailman School, pursuing a Master of Public Health and earned my B.A. in the History of Science & Medicine from Yale University. I have always loved helping other students understand challenging subject matter, and I have experience in tutoring both formally and informally since I was enrolled in elementary school. I am proficient at tutoring a broad range of topics, including literature, phonics, reading, writing, music, voice, American history, and standardized test preparation for exams such as the GRE, PSAT, and SAT. I particularly enjoy helping students find their niche in writing, especially when I can guide them toward expressing their ideas in new and different ways. I try to convey my love of the written word to my students, as developing a true appreciation of the English language is invaluable in every subject. When creating a lesson plan, I am committed to discovering and utilizing each student's unique skill sets. Though I am focused on assisting my students in achieving their goals, I am also an easygoing tutor and strive to provide support in a comfortable environment. In my free time, I enjoy singing, acting, photography, cooking, and making time for my friends.
