I have extensive tutoring and teaching experience in a variety of subjects, the most relevant being: - Instructor, Vanderbilt Summer Academy: I teach philosophy and popular culture to gifted high school students, and assist with the elementary program as well. - Teaching Assistant, Vanderbilt Divinity School: I've served as a teaching assistant for a variety of courses in ethics, philosophy, and religion, and have experience leading small-group discussions, meeting individually with students, and lecturing. - Tutor, Princeton Review test prep: I served as a tutor for Princeton Review for 3 years, primarily tutoring the GRE and SAT, but also teaching and tutoring in the GMAT, AP test prep, and general study skills. - Tutor, Duke Writing Center: For 2 years, I served as a writing tutor at the Duke University Writing Center, working with undergraduates as well as working with ESL graduate students. I also have extensive editing and writing experience. I want to tutor because I love working individually with students--especially in test prep!--and to see them succeed and learn the skills they need to achieve the goals they've set for themselves!
