Experience
I taught English Composition at Brooklyn College from 1990-1995, directed creative writing programs at The Field, Inc., from 1992-2002, and my poems and essays have been published in the US, England, Ireland and Australia since 1978. I received fellowships from the Massachusetts Artists Foundation and CUNY/Brooklyn. I enjoy helping students find their own voice and views and excellence. My classes at Brooklyn College included many foreign students, and I understand the challenges for students whose first language is not English. My teaching is supportive, creative and disciplined.
