- From 1988 to 1997, I taught English composition courses at colleges and community colleges in Oregon, most extensively at Portland Community College. - While at Portland Community College, I also worked as a tutor in the writing lab. - I have worked as a proofreader and copy editor in San Francisco, New York and Portland, OR--in law offices, financial houses and advertising agencies, and for the Oregon Legislative Counsel Committee. - I am a published writer of both fiction and nonfiction; my work has appeared in major regional and national publications, both print and online. -My stage adaptation of a Henry James novel was produced in New York City in early 2014.
