Since I began four years ago, I have taught over 100 students and have found much success tutoring mostly high school level Math as well as the SAT and ACT exams. Throughout my career, I have taken students from getting C’s to A’s and have seen upwards of 500 point increases on the SAT exam. Unlike most tutors, my process involves pinpointing exactly where in a students thought process they begin to get lost. From there I spend a lot of time focusing on how to fix their line of reasoning by taking seemingly complicated math topics and explaining it in easier ways for them to understand. It is extremely gratifying to watch my students breeze their way through questions that an hour ago had left them completely dumbfounded. By the time I finish tutoring my students, I leave them with a wider understanding of mathematics, better grades to show to their parents, and most importantly a higher confidence in themselves.
