I am passionate about education and take pride in helping students understand material. I firmly believe that learning should be about enrichment and expanding perspectives, not just doing well on exams. I have experience tutoring, teaching karate and as a Special Olympics coach. I graduated top of my undergraduate class at the University of St. Andrews. Awards include the Deans' List, as well as four other specific academic prizes. I had a piece of coursework shortlisted for the Historical Studies category in an international awards scheme, which saw more than 4000 submissions from over 182 institutions, receiving honorable mention. The bulk of my courses have been in international studies and history. I have approached history through a number of lenses, such as gender, political, religious, maritime, idealogical, historiographical and architectural. I am a published writer, having appeared in The Huffington Post, Vice News, Haaretz, Out Magazine and Hello Mr. Magazine. I have covered a wide range of topics, from European, Middle Eastern and American politics, to literature, culture and fashion. I am also a reviewer of books for the Lambda Literary Foundation.
