Hello, My name is Kristin and I am a high school English teacher in New York City. My Masters Degree is in Education from The Graduate School of Education, Rutgers University and my B. A. is in English, also from Rutgers. I am licensed English teacher in both in NYC and NJ for grades 6 - 12. I have been teaching English for 10 years and tutoring for 8 years. I tutor students from 4th grade through graduate school; my hourly rate is per student and is relative to each grade-level of instruction, (ES $50.00, MS $60.00, HS $75.00, Test prep. $90.00) I work with students on a variety of skills: grammar, writing, Common Core ELA, reading comprehension, homework help, ESL, ELA test preparation (ISEE, SSAT, SHSAT & SAT), as well as college & graduate school admission essays. I can design a learning program for your student based on his/her needs. Recently, one of my students insisted that his mother text me with his grades when he received a 92 in English, from a 67, after working with me.
