Boston University - BA with Honors Years of volunteering to help children. At the Center for Families and Children, I taught children to swim, read and sang to sick children and mentored a girl. At SafeSpace, I cooked for, ate with and entertained children with HIV and AIDs. Again I mentored a child. On several Thanksgivings, I sang to children and parents in the emergency room of hospitals.
Experience
At eleven-years-old, I was offered an opportunity to complete the three years of junior high school in two years. The chosen students had to score very high on an IQ test in the fifth grade (top2%.) Nevertheless, the pace was too fast for most, and my teachers asked me to help my fellow students in many subjects. This recognition was very desirable, but the pleasure of teaching and helping was greater. My original career was acting and singing professionally, in theatre and clubs. My career ended, but my tutoring never did.
