Experience
I am a native Spanish speaker, and began learning English as a second language after graduating from college in Mexico City. I completed a full English Course from Basic through TOEFL exam training, and then started an intensive course of Italian at Mexico City’s Istituto Italiano di Cultura, where I was a scholarship recipient. Gaining fluency in these two languages as an adult helped me learn highly efficient language training methods that I have used in turn with private students in English and Spanish. In New York I also began studying French and German, including courses at the Alliance Française and the Deutsches Haus at New York University. Private language instructor, 2009 to present In 2012-2013 served as private Spanish teacher for the President of the National Hispanic Public Relations Agency, Formulatin, NYC. Held weekly Spanish classes for a small private group. Experience teaching both Spanish and English as a second language. Private and group voice instructor, 2009 to present Developed and taught vocal technique seminars and private lessons to more than 50 individual students in Mexico City, at institutions including the National University School of Music and the National Superior Conservatory of Music. Coached Children´s Chorus of Tepozotlán, Mexico, 2009; and both the Children’s Choir of Trinity Church, Wall Street and Adult Chorus at Saint Cyril & Methodius Croatian Church, Times Square in 2011-2012. Voice teacher at Greenwich Music House in New York City in 2012 and at Grace Academy Theatre in Union City, New Jersey in 2012-2013, where I also conducted the children’s choir.
